Frequently asked questions
Where can you install charge points?
Charge points and outlets can be installed in a range of locations and tailored to suit how you use your vehicle, caravan or camper. Whether you need power in the rear, canopy, drawers, cabin or sleeping area, we can create a setup that works for you.
Will a USB-C outlet charge my laptop?
Depending on your laptop and its charging requirements, there are several options available for charging from both 12V and 240V power. We can help determine the best solution for your equipment.
What size inverter should I choose?
The right inverter size will depend on what appliances you want to run and the capacity of your existing 12V system. Battery capacity, charging capabilities and expected power consumption all need to be considered before selecting an inverter.
Can you add outlets to my existing setup?
Yes. In most cases, additional 12V, USB or 240V outlets can be added to an existing system. We can assess your current setup and recommend the best way to expand it safely and neatly.
What should I send for a quote?
Include photos of the existing system, battery and inverter details, preferred outlet locations and an equipment list. Any fixed 240V work will need its scope and installation arrangements confirmed before booking.
Every setup is different. DriveWired will assess your requirements and agree on the scope and pricing before work begins.
